FALLFESTIVAL

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival began as a Chamber of Commerce fundraiser and has grown into a much-anticipated event that draws people from surrounding communities. Attractions include:

  • Car show
  • Craft fair
  • Fair Style Food court
  • Beer garden
  • Live music
  • Kids games
  • ATV Rally
  • Cornhole Tournament
  • Bicycle Rodeo

It all started in 2010 when Jessie Godfrey, Chandra Tietjens, Cassie Cordell, and Kylee Raleigh happily agreed to organize and host a community event. Wow has it grown!

The women built the festival into a multi-event show drawing approximately 400 visitors from surrounding communities. After their successful tenure, the ladies turned the event over to Chamber members to coordinate. The community extends its deepest thanks to Jessie, Chandra, Cassie and Kylee for all of their work and promise to keep this tradition alive.

The festival originally consisted of a cook-off with a panel of judges scoring juicy chicken, ribs cooked to perfection, and tender brisket. Voting for the People’s Choice award cost just $5, and soups were entered in a separate cook-off. The enticing aromas filled the air as visitors strolled through the streets perusing cars, buying crafts, and enjoying the music.

While the cook-offs were a success, organizers decided it was time to try something different. A Fair Style Food Court, Food vendors cook and sell their tastiest creations at their cooking stations. In the past, they’ve tempted passersby with bacon wrapped shrimp, jalapeno poppers, bacon wrapped meatballs, pork street tacos, steak wrapped asparagus and much more!
